Lamborghinis have always been special to us Motoring lot. You will
see why in Bijoy Kumar Y’s story later in the issue; that’s the man who
started this magazine and named his daughter Miura, and gave each of
us Lambo names, too, which we use to confess Behind The Sins every
month. But people seem to have forgotten that for some reason. It’s not
just a cute thing, mind you. One of us, on principle, has refused to drive
every Ferrari that came his way (Porsches and Audis are fine, though,
since they belong to the same VW group and all that). This 21-year-long
journey has seen all kinds of people come and go. Motoring has endured
because its spirit resonates with people and will do so as long as there
are wheels turning on this planet’s surface. An idea that began on a
bedroom wall has given purpose and direction to so many lives — to
replicate that is our effort with every issue. And to remind people that
even though we may not be the best or the fastest, you won’t find more
fun than a bunch of Lamborghinis. ■
