P. 3
Welcome...
…to your inspiring new issue of Knit Now!
… t o y o u r i n s p i r i n g n e w i s s u e o f K n i t N o w !
This month I challenged our designers
T h i s m o n t h I c h a l l e n g e d o u r d e s i g n e r s
to take inspiration from the written word
to take inspiration from the written word
28 and to create knitted designs that are
and to create knitted designs that are
as pleasing and balanced as a poem –
and I think they’ve done a fantastic job!
I love Michelle’s Diamanté socks (page
84) that are inspired by a poetic form
and Lana’s stunning Kavana shawl,
inspired by the rhythm of beautiful
poetry (page 46).
When winter rolled around this year, I immediately started making
garments, which is unusual for me! Regular readers will know that
I very rarely nish a jumper but I’ve just cast off my second of the
year and I’m looking for more! If you’re on the hunt for a gorgeous
garment to get your needles clicking too, why not try our cover star,
the Traveller pullover (page 20)? It’s knitted in my favourite shade!
I’ve also been eyeing up Anni’s Marcel jumper (page 88) – I think it
would be a really versatile addition to my wardrobe.
While you’re deciding what to cast on rst, why not make yourself a
50 comforting mug of hot chocolate and settle down for a good read?
We’ve got some fascinating articles this month, including a pro le
of A Verb for Keeping Warm (page 26), an interview with Lola of
Third Vault Yarns (page 44) and our A-Z guide to British bre
(page 50).
Happy knitting,
