THE WALKING WOUNDED
Two British soldiers walk arm-in-arm alongside a German

during the height of World War I. The conflict was the first
time that war was waged on an industrial scale, resulting
in the death of over 1.7 million German soldiers and
just under a million from the
British Empire.
