Must See
           1 The abbey’s cloisters,
         with their elegant, slender
         columns in staggered rows,
          are a beautiful example of
          early 13th-century Anglo-
            Norman architecture.
        2 The tranquil graveyard of
           St Pierre, set away from
            the bustle and crowds,
            belongs to the island’s
          parish church of St Pierre.
          3 The tiny 15th-century
        Chapel of St Aubert, perched
on top of a rocky outcrop, is
         dedicated to St Aubert, the
         founder of Mont-St-Michel. 1

           The abbot’s lodgings,
           where he received
           visitors, were close to
           the abbey entrance.

                           Once the pilgrims’
route, the Grand Rue Did You Know?
                           is now crowded
                           with restaurants.

                                                   is a lightning rod.
