are cold-blooded, four-legged
animals found in warm and often
dry habitats across the world.
A They are reliant on the sun to top
up their body temperatures, meaning in cool
conditions their activity levels can dip, but
don’t let these sometimes-docile creatures
fool you – among lizards live some of the
most ferocious and well-adapted creatures
on the planet. Existing in habitats where prey
is often scarce, lizards have to seize every
opportunity for a meal, all while making sure
they don’t wind up on the menu themselves.
