Pearl’s just turned two and I was
                 absolutely stuck for birthday party
inspo. Never fear, social media has
                    your back – I just typed ‘2nd
                    birthday party’ into the tags
and, voila, tons of ideas! Used
well, it can be a mum’s
                            best friend!

                     Slower is better. I’m a
                  natural list maker and goal
setter, but last month I took a week
off and gave myself one goal - Go
Slower. I didn’t fill the days with
activities, and I didn’t constantly try to
entertain the children. It was surprising
how happy they were making their own
little games up and just going for walks
with me and chatting about the
world around us. This year I’d 50%

shouted it over and over until we stopped
and talked about Stickman maybe living
