                                 The 3.5-mile (5.5-km) promenade
                                 is an enjoyable walk (to avoid the
                                 worst of the heat, this itinerary
                                 can be started in the mid-
                                 afternoon). Bring your towel and
                                 sunblock, and pick your favorite
                                 beach. First, try a refreshing
                                 organic juice at the farmers’
                                 market at Tel Aviv Port. Heading
                                 south, you’ll pass walled Nordau
                                 Beach, gender-segregated by day
                                 for Orthodox Jewish bathers. Next
                                 is the Hilton Beach, set below

                                 p85) for tapas at the Vicki Cristina
                                 wine bar or browse the shops.
                                 Head back to the promenade
                                 and you’re almost in Jaffa.
