                           Heritage Site in 1996. Laponia has been home to the Sami since

                           by the seasons. It is also Europe’s
                           largest single wilderness area,
                           home to brown bears and alpine
                           flora, as well as being geologically
                           important. These factors
                           contributed to its inclusion on
