Willis Tower
and Its Views
It might have lost the US’s tallest building slot, but Willis Tower is
still the second tallest in the country, at 1,450 ft (442 m). Designed
by Chicago firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the tower uses nine
exterior frame tubes, avoiding the need for interior supports.
For awesome 360-degree views of the city, head to the 103rd-floor
Skydeck, where the brave can also step into a
series of glass boxes that provide fascinating
views straight down to the ground.
