Ancient Trees
Hundreds of different plant species from all over the world were Transport

Roman Villa
Excavations have unearthed the
foundations of a Roman villa, its
calidarium (hot room) and a
frigidarium (cold room). A large
room where the family met for
banquets and ceremonies is
decorated with mosaics.

1 The fort of Mali Brijun is situated
on the second-largest island in the
archipelago. The Austro-Hungarian
fort was built at the end of the
Brijuni 19th century.
2 The museum, opened in 1955,
contains cultural and archaeological
finds from the island.

a ruined Austrian defence system
which was built in the 19th century.

from the Venetian period. It was
