Héctor Vives Arias, a 29-year-old fan based in Spain, was particularly taken by a
quiet moment in Star Wars: The Last Jedi that has been dubbed by some as the
Holdo Maneuver. “This scene was both so beautifully stunning and so close to what I
imagined such a collision would be like, that—as an astrophysicist—I was thoroughly
delighted,” he says. Using simple pencils and paper, and some technological

                 “Never underestimate the everyday
                 objects you encounter and how
they might become a part of your
                 favorite Star Wars costume,” says
                 Chanadet. “I have seen everything
from a Tupperware container lid to
an automotive oil funnel used to
                 successfully reproduce minute
                 details on people’s costumes. You
never know, you might just have half
of Darth Vader’s lightsaber sitting in
                 a box in your attic!”
So, what is it that really makes
