The author used each knife to baton-cut 16
slabs of pine/fi r. In the process he busted off
a small piece of the Wabakimi’s birch handle,
though the grip remained tight. The Bush-
tool’s handle was solid with no damage.

blade edges for damage, I came up with

no issues. I shifted the Wabakimi handle

enough to bust off a small piece that acted

as a finger guard. The handle was still
tight, though. The Bushtool’s handle was

solid with no damage.
Skirting close to the destructive line, I
