tween grips. The Double Agent has a pair
of rings: one in the traditional location
at the rear of the handle and a second
at the front of the handle in which the
index finger passes through and wraps
around. Th is effectively locks your hand
on the handle to prevent you from losing
your grip inadvertently. “The biggest ad-
vantage this knife offers is the enormous
grip retention security provided by the
double finger rings,” Th ompson says.
“It’s very difficult to dislodge or ‘strip’
the knife from the hand.” Th e forward
finger hole also provides a securement
point for the sheath.
The handle material is molded on and
is what Cold Steel calls Griv-Ex, which
is similar in composition and texture to
Zytel. The Griv-Ex handle has a rounded
profile that is very comfortable without
generating hot spots. The texturing aids
in a secure grip.

Agent is its Secure-Ex® molded sheath.
