TOMB RAIDER
British archaeologist Howard Carter and an Egyptian
worker remove an item from the tomb of Pharaoh
Tutankhamun, discovered by Carter and the Earl of
Carnarvon in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. As the
pharaoh was only nine when he died, the tomb was
relatively small, but the many treasures buried
with him reignited interest in Ancient Egypt.
It remains the most complete tomb of a
pharaoh ever discovered.
