Amanda: “I learned when Clare
was six that it was best to let her get
on with it, and I love the way she
dresses. However, it’d be great to
get rid of those Manchester United
socks – which were leftover stock
from a football camp (they do
make me laugh though) – and
smarten her up, as she can look
amazing when she does dress up.
I like her androgynous look and
wouldn’t change it, but I’d add a
subtle feminine twist. High-waisted
but loose wide-leg or straight
trousers, maybe a simple fitted top.
She never wears heels but if she did
they’d need to make a statement.
(I told her I’d put her in jodhpurs and
a headscarf à la Princess Anne!)”
