The ornate interior of Geneva’s
majestic Cathédrale St-Pierre
Maison Tavel (p121), the oldest house
in the city, was built in 1334. It is now a
museum documenting daily life in Cathédrale St-Pierre (p116),
Geneva through the ages. completed in the 13th century,
stands on the site of several earlier
buildings, including a bishop’s
palace, whose mosaic floor survives.
