USCG Cutter Narwhal presented
with commemorative painting.
At the conclusion of the familiarization
cruise on 09 NOV 18, Auxiliarist Tom
Oberlin, FSO-CM (06-02) presented
USCG Cutter “Narwhal” Captain Kumar
BrunhartMcBratney and his crew a
painting of a Narwhal character created by
Tom’s son Davey Oberlin who is not only
an artist on canvas, he is an artist in the
music industry. Davey is a musician
currently touring with the popular band
“KORN”. After learning that his Dad was
about to embark on the cutter “Narwhal”,
Davey painted and framed the character.
Each of the twenty two Division 6
members on board signed the painting.
