(c) Diagram 1.2 shows a thermometer which is not calibrated has a mercury column
of length, LO = 5.0 cm when the temperature is 0°C and L100 = 25.0 cm when
the temperature is 100°C. The mercury column, L, is 12.0 cm when put into
liquid X.
