Louis Sachar
While working as an
elementary school aide, Louis
Sachar wrote some stories
and read them to his students. The kids loved his
stories, and he’s been writing ever since. Sachar
says, “I want kids to think that reading can be
just as much fun, or more so, than TV or video
games or whatever else they do.”
