                               TARGET SKILL

                                 Story Structure As you read “LAFFF,” look for the
                                 elements that make up the story’s structure, including
                                 the setting, the characters, and the plot. Think about
                                 the conflict or problem that the narrator faces. What
                                 events follow from this conflict? How is the conflict finally
                                 resolved? To trace how the story unfolds, use a graphic
                                 organizer like this one. Be sure to list story events in
                                 sequential order.
