Sequence of Events

In Henry and Mudge, you read about how Henry’s
family gets Mudge. The author writes about what
happens in a certain order. The order of what
happens in a story is called the sequence of events.

Think about what happens first, next, and last in
the story. You can show sequence of events in a
chart like the one below.
