Agave

Life is always a debut.
Like an agave–
only once
does it tempt with its blossoming beauty.
We learn words,
to be able to talk
and to try to understand the world.
We learn about life,
so with dignity
and our heads raised
we can say:
I don't regret.

Jokester

We frolic with death,
everyday we joke about life.
And its lips by.
Everyday we get closer
to no longer being human,
instead to being
only a body
and a memory
in the minds of the Jokesters.
