The smile in the dream vanished P mântul i tot zâmbetul din vis,
When you were silent, gone towards zenith Când ai t cut, plecând sub z ri str ine,
Crushed under love's bow promised. Strivit de arcul dragostei promis.
The suite of butterflies up on the hill just seemed Mi s-a p rut c st s se dezic
To fade into the distance Alaiul fluturilor de pe deal
Alas, my throbbing heart felt unredeemed i inima p rea, pulsând, prea mic ,
Facing the tumult of our existence Pentru tumultul ce venea în val.
This year, cherry trees are just a burden Mi s-au p rut cire ii o corvoad ,
(and that is when they are divine!) ( i tocmai anul sta sunt divini !)
Seconds are ticking by, though i'm not certain Secundele p reau din cer s cad ,
Hopes growing underneath their trunks – a sign. Speran ele cre teau de sub tulpini.

To spend an hour with me like two boughs cleft S m petreci sub bolta unui ceas,
And so meets life's compass S -ntâmpin m aceste st ri letale
Living while loving in the time left i s tr im iubind cât ne-a r mas.
