P. 80
ASHES THE WOUNDED SILENCE
You promised you will come Leaves crushed under the feet
As soon as you are free Groan in crunching voices
In the sun-set of my life Branches snap and
I just saw the time flee Make a crackling noise
You did come ultimately The glass drops and shatters
But Love ! It was too late With its deafening clatter
We follow law of nature Anything torn apart whimpers, mummers,
So, I could no more wait Or screams, loud or soft,
Nothing matters
With a distressed heart you came But
To my cremation site No sound comes
What else could you have found When the heart breaks
but After many trials and tests
Ashes after last rites And you go through
A whole gamut of emotional tempests
With the body set on pyre
My heart, too, has been burnt When, finally, stepping out of the storm
Why are you stirring the ashes You are never in the same form
Now, what is in your quest Something transforms you definitely
Whether positively or negative
@Sudha Dixit
A part of your being is lost
The one that hurts you most
The pain, a little less, you may feel
But, the wound does not heal
You wander around dazed,
With a damaged soul
Eternally waiting for Nirvana
To, again, become whole
@Sudha Dixit
