                                                                                              Clammy heat, parched throats.

                                                                                              Suddenly a waft of dry breeze.
                                                                                              The shadows underneath the tree danced.
                                                                                              Mesmerizing the lines and curves.
                                                                                              Colourless yet alive.
                                                                                                                                                                                                        I never colour

                                                                                              I twirled too in response.                                                                                  my subjects
                                                                                              My shadow followed my whims.                                                                                   nor I paint
                                                                                              How many restless summers?                                                                                    my verses ;
                                                                                              Moments of distress, ennui…
                                                                                              Lonesome hours, despairing days?
                                                                                                                                                                                                      They are dyed

                                                                                              Here i was                                                                                                  in my blood,
                                                                                              tracing shapes in the streets                                                                              And are seen
                                                                                              the tree scripting my story on a hot tarmac.                                                                loving in red.
                                                                                              Telling my shadow, you're free.
                                                                                              Adieu, good friend.
