modulation) techniques, various harmonic elimination techniques- Multilevel inverters- Concepts –

UNIT V POWER CONDITIONERS, UPS & FILTERS 9
Introduction- Power line disturbances- Power conditioners –UPS: offline UPS, Online UPS, Applications
– Filters: Voltage filters, Series-parallel resonant filters, filter without series capacitors, filter for PWM
VSI, current filter, DC filters – Design of inductor and transformer for PE applications – Selection of
capacitors.
TOTAL: 45 PERIODS
OUTCOMES:
On the completion of the course, the students will be able to
analyze the modes of operation of different types of DC-DC converters and to obtain the state
model.
analyze various switching mode power converters.
realize the voltage control of various resonant converters.
realize the different types of pulse width modulation techniques.
realize various filters for various applications.
