OBJECTIVES:
To understand the use of transfer function models for the analysis physical systems and to
introduce the control system components.
To provide adequate knowledge in the time response of systems and steady state error analysis.
To accord basic knowledge in obtaining the open loop and closed–loop frequency responses of
systems.
To introduce the concept of stability analysis.
To introduce the importance of compensator and design of different kinds of compensators.

model of mechanical and electrical system – AC and DC servomotors, Synchros – Electrical analogy of
