Language and Literature

CCC offers a variety of modern language courses. Mrs. Elizabeth Werner

teaches beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish and French.

Language study helps bridge the culture gaps for students preparing to

serve on foreign mission fields. In addition to her teaching, Mrs. Werner is

well-known for her outstanding work as librarian at CCC. By her side, Mrs.

Adele Hitchins has devoted many years of her time to work in the college

library. Dr. Jean Madfarlane and Miss Susan O'Bannion work together to

open the doors of Literature and English to each student. During their in­

struction students are exposed to a wide variety of literature and composi­

tion from the past as well as from the present.
