While ministering in Indiana at the
church where Dr. Youstra’s son
pastors, the chorale visited the

of the country shops, Dave

THE MIDWEST
A verage college students can hardly wait for
school to end to they can go home. However, a
few of the students choose to use part of their
summer ministering in churches, schools, and
homes. The chorale, under the direction of Mr.
Ron Billingsley, pulled out on their trek after
graduation on their way to the Midwest. Trav
elling in two vehicles, they focused on min
istering in Christian schools and churches, sing
ing a variety of music possible only with the
additional voices of a larger group.
They returned to campus five weeks later; all
were thanking the Lord for safety and the
opportunity to both serve Him and have a great
beginning to their summers. Sophomore Jill
Head said, “The best part of the tour was when I
had the entire chorale come to my house on a
Sunday afternoon. We were also able to stay at
Becky Arnholt’s house for Memorial Day. They
invited her whole church, and we gave a concert
on the lawn.”
While the chorale toured the Ohio
area, they crossed the Ohio River to
Covington, Kentucky to sing at
Calvary Christian School where
Kristi Foster attended elementary
school. Kristi never has trouble
remembering the mascot and
school colors, since she grew up in
“Cougar Country.”
