Test Skills
The Junior Varsity Basketball team
utilized the skills of many good
players to win 13 of 20 games, and
won 12 of the last 16 games. The
team's leading scorer was Bobby
Drackett, who scored 240 points in 17
games, an average of 14.2 points per
game. The leading rebounder on the
team was John Kurtz, who made 152
rebounds. Coach Larry Pedicord was
pleased with his team’s performance.
He said, “The team's strong points
was balance.”
The Junior High Basketball team was
less experienced than the J.V. Team
and finished the season with a 4-5
record. The most valuable player on
the team was eighth grader David
Dumper. He was the team's leading
scorer, leading rebounder, and team
captain. Coach Dale Wadman was
happy with the season. He stated,
“The team was very young. Through
out the season, however, the boys
became much better, and everyone
was able to play.”
