To you, Robert Taft, our teacher, guide, and friend, we the class of 1962, humbly
dedicate our "TORCH,” as a token of our sincere appreciation and deep affection.
We will never forger your help and humor, as with you, each of us followed man’s
journey through the pages of history.
Looking back through our years at Delhaas, we will remember you for your pres­
ence and encouragement at our sports events, your coaching of our track teams, and
your part in making our Washington Trip and other Senior activities a success.
It is, however, not in your role as our teacher or guide that we will remember
you best, but as our friend. Your constant smile and ready laughter have engraved
your likeness into the hearts of all your students. Many teach and guide, but few
project such personality and friendliness.
It is with pride that we dedicate this, our yearbook, to you, Mr. Taft.
