                                                                                    This  year  marks  the  completion  of  twelve
                                                                                  of  the  most  valuable  and  memorable  years
                                                                                  of  your  life.  If  you  have  accepted  the  chal­
                                                                                  lenge,  it  has  prepared  you  to  face  bravely
                                                                                  the  complex  and  difficult  problems  of  adult
                                                                                  life.
                                                                                    Ahead  of  you  lie  many  exciting  and  ad­
                                                                                  venturesome  years:  years  you  will  face  with
                                                                                  the  unlimited  energy,  freedom, optimism and
                                                                                  confidence of an  American  high  school  grad­
                                                                                  uate.  It will  be a wonderful  experience;  one
                                                                                  that many  of we "older  folk”  long to  relive.
                                                                                    While  at  Delhaas,  you  demonstrated  loy­
                                                                                  alty and devotion to your school.  Your efforts
                                                                                  and endeavors did  much  to earn Delhaas  the
                                                                                  reputation  of  being  one  of  the  best  schools
                                                                                  of  our  nation.  Now  we  charge  you  to  ex­
                                                                                  pend  this  same  enthusiasm  and  industrious­
                                                                                  ness  to  your  chosen  vocation,  your  commu­
                                                                                  nity and your nation.
                                                                                    May your  future be a  prosperous,  interest­
                                                                                  ing,  and  happy  one.  And  may  you  never
                                                                                  forget  these  three  memorable  years  at  Del­
                                                                                  haas.  Delhaas is your school; she wishes you
                                                                                  a good  life and  the best  of everything.

       Mr.  Ellis, our new Principal,  is seen busily fulfilling one of his  many daily tasks.  He has
       endeavored  to bring new ideas  and  concepts to  our  schools.  Mr.  Ellis was  formerly Prin­
       cipal  of  Eranklin  Delano  Roosevelt  Junior  High  School,  and  is  not  a  newcomer  to  our
       educational  system.

                                                                              Through  the  never  ending  efforts  of  our
                                                                         high  school  administration,  our  director  of  pupil
                                                                         personnel,  and  our  home  and  school  visitor,  we
                                                                         profit  from  a  well-rounded  educational  program.
                                                                         The  developing  of  excellent  school  policies,  the
                                                                         securing  of  part-time  jobs,  and  the  establishment

           Home  and  School  Visitor   Director of Pupil Personnel      home  are  but  a  few  of  the  duties  performed  by

                            The  Home  and  School  visitor  acts  as  a  personal  contact  between  the  school  and
                       the  home  of  the  student.  This  unique  function  assists  in  the  development  of  under­
                       standing  between  the parents  and  the  teachers.
                            Our  Director  of  Pupil  Personnel  performs  duties  too  numerous  to  mention.  One
                       thing  is  certain,  however.  Each  task  is  one  which  in  some  fashion  enriches  the  life  of
                       the  pupils.  Many  of  our  successes  may  be  attributed  to  the  labors  of  this  individual.
