Close-up American Government is an

elective taught by Ms. Sussman. Stu­

dents come into school at 7:25 Tues­

day and Thursday mornings to explore •^rrrr

through their studies the inner workings

of the United States government and

its history. The class goes on a week

long trip to Washington D.C. in Janu­

ary during which students are able to

experience the excitement of the capitol

first hand by exploring museums and

monuments that document our nation’s

history. This year the students on the

trip were privileged to go on a White

House tour. Students were also given the

opportunity to visit Mount Vernon, go

on a private Supreme Court tour, take a

trip to the Holocaust Museum, and meet

with representative Barbara Lee.
