After a semester of fascinating curriculum
on the Holocaust of World War II, Ms.
Sussman and a group of students from Bish
op O ’ Dowd embarked on an extraordinary

voyage through Europe to study the history
S IO' . of the Holocaust further. Ms. Sussman and
the O’Dowd students met with teachers and
students from Kansas and New Jersey and
they traveled together to explore the many
artifacts, historical and religious sites, and
museums that are sanctioned for the remem
brance of the Holocaust. They journeyed to
places such as Krakow, Prague, and Berlin,
and had the outstanding privilege of meet
ing reknowned author, Alexandra Zapruder,
and donating a memorial on behalf of the
Bishop O’Dowd community to the local
community of Trsice for their rescue efforts
during World War II of the Wolf family.
