THOSE AWFUL, ANNOYING, CRAZY, CONFUSING
EXASPERATING PRE-TEEN YEARS
Parents do have a whole lot to say e r H o w v c z
On topics like our independence.
They proceed to recite every nit-picky fault
How we're vulgar, stuck- up, and horrendous!
"You are touchy, obnoxious, quite choosy and
And have no respect for higher stations;
Oh so lazy, uncouth, ill-tempered, and crude,
You don't understand most situations!
"Rude, immature, self-centered, and mean
Right now you're not really existing!
You are simply a phase that will hopefully pass
And then they go on with the listing...
"Your dress is so queer and your hair colors change
Every day it's a different expression!'
Plus screaming and kicking are not proper ways
To let out one's bottled aggression!"
But what do they say when we slyly bring up
Some stories of their youthful rages?
Well they cough and they grunt and turn three shades of pink
and stop talking about our strange ages! ^
