oncentration, intensity, desire,
C and guts: the boys' and girls'

The boys' placed third at the
             Fremont Invitational, second at the

                "This is a very good
              accomplishment for one track
              season," said coach Dan Mussman.
The girls placed at the Millard
              North Invitational, first at the

"This is the kind of team that
              makes coaches stay in coaching,"
said coach Ann Fulkerson. "This is
one of the finest seasons ever for a
              freshman track team at Ralston."
Both the boys and girls proved
their ability to create a successful
              season through hard work, positive
              thinking, and desire.
                "Many of these student-athletes
              have leadership qualities, talent,
and the capacity to work hard,
              which should allow them to
contribute on the varsity team in
              1982-83," said Fulkerson.

Endurance keeps freshman M ike Strehle on
his feet in the mile run.
Struggling to move out of second place,
freshman Mike Strehle gains on his Wilson
opponent. Following in fourth place is fresh
               man, Troy Van Caster.
