As you put together your own per­
sonal yearbook of memories of 1978-79
at Bitburg High School, I hope you will
include, along with thoughts of friends,
fun times, and extracurricular activi­
ties, remembrances of what you've
learned about becoming a better
human being.
Hopefully you will also focus on
benefits that have come from opportu­
nities to exercise the rights and respon­
sibilities of being a citizen of your
country and of the world.
To be remembered, as well, is the
ability which you have developed this
year for being both a teacher and a
learner, with emphasis on inquiry,
openness, and commitment.

Your yearbook staff has done a fine job in putting
together the activities and highlights of this school
year. As time passes these pictures and pages will
grow in importance for you, and you will enjoy the
