Dedication Brings
Outstanding Success
to High School’s
Colorful Drilling Unit
The Bitburg High School drill team is a very spe
cial unit. Members of the team were very active in
school affairs . . . but this activity didn’t limit the
amount of time which was devoted to practice of rou
tines. The splendid drill team was active at sports
events . . . lending great support to the football and
basketball teams. It performed at the home games
. . . and traveled often. You could see the gals at
most away football games and it was a very popular
group when it made several trips with the basketball
team . . . especially when it traveled to Ramstein for
both the semi-finals and finals of the Class A basket
ball tournament. Also, the drill team took part in
several parades, working very well with the school's
band. Mrs. Bernice Bullard was the sponsor of the
organization. Flashy outfits, colorful routines, out
standing individuals . . . these were the things which
gave the Drill Team its class in 1978-79!
Co-Captains of the 1978-79 Bitburg High School drill team were: Chris
Bennett and Cheryl Thompson. This year's team was one of the most
active groups in school.
