To my parents: Thank you for loving me and supporting my endeavors whatever they may be. You have instilled in me the highest of morals and values which will guide me throughout
life. You have taught me that no matter how held back one may be, in the end it will propel you to become that much more successful and determined in life. You have also taught me the
joy of being who 1 am and where I'm from. The only way I can show my appreciation for those opportunities is by taking full advantage of them. I will always love you!
To my brothers and sisters: Thanks for being there throughout the good and bad times. 1 have always been able to turn to you guys whenever 1 need a friend, a mentor, or simply a sibling.
The people within our lives have tried to pull us apart but each and every time we manage to rise closer than ever. Thanks for all the great laughs, crazy moments, but most of all the great
times to come. Beloved Homeland: "I am the descendant of a people that built Damascus, and Biblus, and Tyre and Sidon, and Antioch, and now I am here to build with you, and with a
will. It is to be proud of being an American, but it is also to be proud that your fathers and mothers came from a land upon which God hid his gracious hand and raised His messengers.
Young Americans of Syrian origin, I believe in you." -Khalil Gibran
