Joshua Carter "Everyday it seems I learn more and more
about my God through all my classes. They say the more
you know someone the more you love them, and I can
attest to that about God. Knowing God really helps me to
focus on what is important-not all the temporal things we
deal with everyday but what ETERNALLY matters. I never
knew how much I could love God till I began to learn more
about Him." Joshua was open about what plans God has
for him. "I have a desire to at least start working with youth,
but God may be calling me to do something else. I'm just
trying to be open to whatever He wants. All I know for sure
is that He wants me here learning about Him right now."

Church Ministries major Brittany Ferguson liked the Biblically based classes
she took. "I enjoy the diversity of my major. I am able to take a variety of
classes, such as Christian Home, Missions, and Personal Evangelism as well
as strictly Bible classes. The biggest impact from teachers has been the
push to make my own choices based on my own study of the Scriptures;
not to simply take what a pastor or teacher says just because they have said
it." Looking towards future opportunities, Brittany said, "When I graduate,
I would like to work in ministry somewhere. I am not sure what God has in
store for me just yet, possibly something with youth."
As a Bible major, Andy Jaspers appreciated the professors
who teach in the department and their interactions with
the students. "The best thing about being a Bible major
is the great teachers that you get to study under. The in
teractions go a long way in making your time at college
much more enjoyable and productive." He saw how the
classes had an impact on his life. "Every class in the Bible
program goes beyond just facts, and that makes each class
applicable to your life now or in the future." After gradua
tion, he would like to become involved with youth ministry.
"When I graduate, I would like to attend a seminary, and
then go on to be a youth pastor."
