The 1978 Wilson Pvoms football teom
held surprises for everyone. The team was
considered to be in o rebuilding year yet
challenged strongly for the LDCL title. After
losing the first three gomes the Roms went
on to win five of the next seven regular
season gomes. Only o loss to Delhoos in the
lost gome of the season denied the Roms on
outright championship. Wilson tied with Coun
cil Rock, Pennsbury, ond Mople Point for the
regular seoson chompionship. The Roms lost
28-6 to Council Rock in the ployoffs, but cer
tainly should be proud of their ochievement
for 1978. The team was led by coptoins John
Koch ond John Henry. Seniors Rick Drown,

Musho, ployed o large port in the Roms' suc
cesses. Defenders, Pot Jodzio, and Joe
Blackburn olso hod o fine yeor.
