The Class of 2009 is honored to dedicate this year’s Mosaic to someone who

has been an integral member of the Moses Brown community for the past

fifteen years. In June, she will join us as we leave Moses Brown and start a

new chapter of our lives. As the Head of School, she has been a leader in our

community and has contributed to making Moses Brown the prestigious

school that it is today. She is an advisor and a familiar face on campus,

addressing each and every student by name. Even with her busy schedule,

she makes time to teach classes and read poetry to the Lower School. As

committed as she is to the academic facets of Moses Brown, she also provides

unfailing support to the athletic, art, and music programs, as she cheers on

Quaker sports teams, claps loudly at plays and dance performances, or spends

time in the Krause Gallery. She is a symbol of the values that Moses Brown

embodies, and her calm and wise words at All-School Quaker Meetings ring

true to the community. We will always cherish her encouragement, support,

and leadership, even as we continue on to the next step in life.

This year the class of 2009 dedicates the yearbook to: Ms. Joanne Hoffman.
