Mr Gordon Ivcinosk

When was your first year at Pine Crest? Who or Where do you see yourself in the next 10, 20, or 30 years?
what interested you to this school? In ten years, I guess I’ll be retired, traveling, and mooching off friends.
Mr. Palmacio and I had been friends since graduate I guess I’ll start running again. In twenty years - hah! I’ll be dead-

and then in 1982, he told me that I should teach here Has technology helped your teaching?
too. Technology helps, but math is really something personal. It's
What got you into teaching? something on the inside. It’s your head and your heart that see the

Why did you decide to coach Cross Country? Sarah Hiest...we have the same birthday. Anyway, I made her spurt

spend more time out of the house as well... No...not at all.
What is the Mrs. like? Good, last question. What is your last word of advice for students?
Oh, she’s great. She’s a dance teacher from a family Love as often as you can; marry as much as possible.

What is your favorite color? (Sophie Bakalar enters
           room)
           Sophie...she’s my favorite color.
           What is your favorite movie?
Big Fish...that was a great movie eye
Since we are on the subject, what is your favorite
           book?
That’s a hard one. I read so much, I’m really not sure.
                                                                                     T A r

           What is your super power?
           I am invisible.
What do you hope for a student to get out of your
           class?
Make a kid see things they would not see otherwise. I
like to explain the magic of math.
What does Mr. Ivanovski like to listen to in his car
on the way to work and such?
Oh, man. I love the Stones. Rush is a great band as
           well.
Other then music, what kind of art work do you
           enjoy?
I like the work of Salvador Dali. I like a lot of art, and
           basically anything that has color.
What do you do in your spare time?
Well, I used to run, that is before I got fat. I read a lot
and spend tons of time with my grandchildren. They
           are two, four, and seven.
Oh, you have grandchildren! How many children
           do you have?
1 have three, one of each kind . . . (pause for laughter)
           ... no, I have two.
Where did you learn all of your good jokes?
Jokes are something that you learn throughout life,
but I guess I got my sense of humor from my dad. He
loved to joke and was so funny. That’s one thing you
really miss when you get older - your dad.
Do you ever get bored of teaching?
No, absolutely not, no sir. I love teaching. I learn
everyday as I teach. With this job you get to learn.
