hat is it? Where do you find it? Is it between classes
or after meals? Does anyone ever have enough of it?
When you find the answers to those questions,
please let a college student know.
In keeping with oui theme, we have designated
any time spent outside of class, off the sports field, or
outside of club activities SPARE TIME. It covers what
is generally called Student Life.
Student life is more far-reaching than what hap
pens inside class. It includes what we do during
summer break, on weekends, on dates, and where
and what we eat. One must have discipline to make
sufficient time for studies and still have time to
spare.
We learned to stuff as many good memories into
those coveted moments as possible. Some of the
simplest circumstances resulted in treasured rela
tionships that led to strong commitments. Not only
did we build lasting relationships with those of our
campus family, but through Christian service we
helped others build lasting relationships with the
Lord Jesus Christ.
There is no greater thrill than to lead a rebellious
teenager to Christ, to bring a smile to an elderly
widow's lonely face, or to teach the first Bible verse
to an eager child. What valuable ways to redeem the
time.
Some of the greatest lessons about life will be
learned in our spare time.
