Two schools come together as one and become a family. The Raston Girls Golf Team is mixet
with Mercy High School’s golf team. There are three girls from Ralston, junior Victoria Kauten,
junior Cassidy Loucks, and senior Geri Smieja. The thirteen other girls are from Mercy High
School. Ralston’s Girls Golf Team has been sharing a team with Mercy High for seven years. “As a
Freshman is was sort of nerve wrecking, but then we just came together as a family and it’s really
cool,” says Cassidy Loucks. But the team had trouble keeping the fam ily together. The girls had a
fair season, not a bad one and not an awesome one. “ Keeping all the girls playing all year is my
biggest struggle. It’s the only way we will move from the middle of the pack to the upper half.”
says Coach Kosch. “ One of my Mercy girls earned*a couple medals at varsity tournaments and
was ^j-conference as well finishing in the top ten at our conference tourney.” Several more ladies
