      The People Behind The Spirit

By: Abbi Bornsen and Citlati Sanchez

September is the best time to be a Ralston Ram. Friday night lights are loud and crazy,

the days are warm but the nights become colder, and homecoming is right around the
corner for Ralston High School. Between the Rowdy football games on Fridays and the dress
shopping on Saturdays, the students get one week to be crazy, silly, and relaxed. All

students get the chance to show their school spirit as they get to dress up for Spirit Week.
“I thought Spirit Week was just going to be the Freshmen and Sophomores and maybe a
couple of Seniors," stated freshman Jaythan Neal. At Ralston, spirit is everything. The Ram
Pride is announced as the students take a trip around the world and bring their Ralston

fashion with them for Tourist Day. They all disappear to Oz, the place all students want to
be, with their cameras, fanny packs and visors for Tourist Day. As they travel back to
Ralston they are met with a group of Rams that happen to be a little super. The

upperclassmen watched as the underclassmen zip by them with unusual speed and as they
push students out of the way with their strength, while they strut around in their
superhero outfits on Super Fiero Day. I
_ Of course the students had to show Not just the students, but the
                                                                                                                               Vi#'....
teachers also showed off their inner e pushed up on noses,
suspenders held up pants, and jean the Ralston students showed
off their nerdiness. It was the final day of Week that was the icing on the cake. Each

clasSHiad their own colors they were supposed to wear. Walking around in a sea of red,
blue, white, and black, really shows how the school can unite and come together to show
their spirit and represent the school. “ I’m really going to miss seeing everyone participate
and come together to make this week a fun week,” senior Emily Ruhaak revealed. This was

       definitely a week to remember.
Q: W hat did you learn during Spirit Week?
      Q:What did you expect spirit
week to be like? "THERE IS A LOT OF

      engagement.
Q: Do you think you will participate
                                           in spirit week next year?

A: O f course! It was a lot of fun. Q: What was the theme you
