Coach Jurgens said the team had
more depth than teams from other
years, but they had no top players.
"Senior Jeff Schuman was our # 1
player for two years and he contrib­
uted a lot as a four year letterman,”
said coach Jurgens.
Other individual accomplishments
were set by sophomores John
Hymans and Jeff Hoham for taking
second in doubles at state.
The team made a good showing at
the state tournament, placing fifth
overall.
"A highlight of the year was the
team's second place finish in the
Papillion tournament. It forced
stronger participation by some of
the team in our other matches,” said
coach Jurgens.

and the doubles match of Kathy
Heires and Lori Selinger receiving
second and third in two tourna­
ments.
"It was an up and down type of
season. They were inexperienced
and young. Most of them needed
another year to become consistent
in their playing,” said coach Jur­
gens.
