                     5.30  Alarm rings in Dorm  III.  Cindy  and  Mori  stumble out  of bed to study  for  an  English  test.
                     8:00  Teachers  call an emergency  meeting.  Decision:  Three senior  skip  days  in  a  row  are  quite
                          sufficient.
                     8:02  A  screeching  of  brakes,  a  cloud  of  blue  smoke,  and  the  Foreign  Automobile  Association
                          of Pine Crest arrives.
                     8:02%  Joel and Duke unfold themselves-from their Austin and MG respectively.
                     8:06  Jim  gets  Russia  on  his  short  wave  radio.  Tells  Bulganin  off.
                     8:15  Margo  and  her  ’55  Chevrolet  “arrive?”
                     8:25  DeSoto  Dick  arrives  and  removes  a  junior  and  its  car  from  his  parking  place.
                     8:27  Ambulance comes to remove junior.
                     8:30  Bell rings.
                     8:35  Seniors amble, walk, bop, skip, slither and slink to classes.
                     8:45  In creative writing class Nance yells for correction fluid  as another headline is  rubbed out.
                     9:30  Lowell, in his favorite brown shirt, faces life with Mr. Stauffer.
                     9:40  Sally Jo nets an A on her muffins.
                     9:45  Mrs.  Patterson suffers from indigestion.
                     10:05  “X” vanishes from study hall for his mid-morning snack.
                     10:25  Seven minute morning break. Pandemonium reigns.
                     10:29  Students evacuate patio to prepare for classes.
                     10:30  Mr.  McMillan  announces  to  his  history  class  that  he  is  extremely  rough  and  feels
                          “just like a tiger.”
                     10:31  Wayne growls back.
                     10:50  Senorita rings her bell, awakening Willie.
                     11:13  Lan leans on a ’55 Oldsmobile aerial.  Snap!
                     11:30  Jean answers Mrs.  DiSimone’s question with a simple statement, “flowers.”
                     11:31  A  class  meeting  is  called  to  order  by  president  Richard  Artie  Holman.  Secretary
                          Martha  Lott  has  difficulty  reading  the  minutes  of  the  last  meeting.  Faulty  shorthand?
                     11:45  Miguel struggles through the weekly “palabra” test.
                     11:55  Students groan as the subject of term papers is brought up.
                     12:00  Buck sends note up to Mrs. DiSimone.  “It’s lunchtime.  Can we go?”
                     12:01  Mrs. DiSimone says, “MAY we go?”
                    12:02  Joyce fakes knock on door.
                    12:03  Seniors storm cafeteria.
                    12:07  Dust coats the campus as seniors take off for noon rides.
                    12:10  John, alias “Bone,” takes to the Melaleuca tree.
                    12:20  Barb, sitting in the dorm, decides whether to attend afternoon classes or not.
                    12:35  Seniors return to stomping grounds.
                    12:50  Bell rings.
                     1:00  Seniors go to classes.
                     1:20  Sherry asks Sue what margins to use on a pica type when typing a  150 word letter.
                     1:30  Sue says, “Uh-huh.”
                     1:40  Linda and  Nancy are busily at work putting the  finishing touches  on their  popular  comic
                          strip  “The  Adventures  of  Whip  and  George”  or  “What  Being  a  Bird  Means  to  Me.”
                     1:50  Sally Manning launches into another of her frequent hour-long soliloquies.
                     2:00  Martha Pogue passes her 140w.p.m. shorthand test.
                     2:15  Pat  Forward  leaves  for  New  York,  the  bright lights  of Broadway,  and  perhaps  a  glimpse
                          of Brad Littleton.
                     2:30  The  Discipline  Committee  measures  Ralph’s  bermudas  to  see  whether  or  not  they  are
                          less than 3 inches above the knee.
                     2:45  Margo Linden is caught napping in the  English room — it’s time for phys. ed.
                     3:15  Mr.  Gorden  calls,  “All  out”  and  Sally  Houser  drags  herself  to  the  dorm  to  report  that
                          ten laps of the pool is a physical impossibility.
                     3:17  Doors  slam,  duals  roar,  and  students  shout  “goodbyes”  as  another  “Typical  Senior
                          School Day” comes to a noisy end.
