          Following a postcard writing cam­

          paign aimed at encourgaging come­

          dian Jay Leno to appear at prom,
          Leno called the school and arranged

          a 15-minute  conference telephone

          conversation with the prom com­

          mittee.

          choose you as honorary Prom King

          and your wife, Mavis, Prom

          Queen.  Congratulations.
          Jay Leno:  Why, Thank you!

          Did you ever flunk ◦  class in high

          school?
          Leno:  I think I flunked math once,

          I was not a real good student.  In

          fact at one point my guidance

          counselor called my mother and
