"Angie and I started way, way before school even
started. I think it was July. We went up to Lincoln to
this camp which Mrs. Rice knows we hated . . . with a
passion. We stayed there for about four days . . . we
went to class for the yearbook and we thought up the
theme and the sub themes . . . What we had to keep in
mind was how many people we had on our staff.
With only three people on our staff we knew that
what we had to do was going to be kept very limited
so when it came to copy writing we wanted to do
something fun that was going to be interesting to
where we weren't going to spend all our time writing
it and no one was going to read it. So we thought that
we would go around and tape our interviews. In the
Student Life section I just interviewed the people and
wrote it down word for word. It was a lot easier and I
think it is a lot more interesting. I think people will
read it. As I mentioned, we only had three people on
our staff which included me, Suzanne Miller, Angie
Jespersen, Pat Egger and Mrs. Rice All these people
were great to work with. They always helped out and
like whenever you needed something everyone was
always there with an idea to throw o u t. . .
Of course, we did have our ups and downs. I'm
surprised Angie and I didn't kill each other at that
camp, but I think Mrs. Rice pulled us all together to
make it so we could all become a family and work
hard. The photographers were great to get all their
photos in on time and have them there for us. They
were really a tremendous help. I thank them tons
even though I gave them a lot of grief throughout the
year . . . We had a lot of good times in Room 405
throughout the three years I can remember. This has
been the best year . . . When I look at the yearbook I'm
really proud of it. I feel like this is one of the
biggest accomplishments of my life for three
people to just actually put together this whole
book. It's really amazing. I'm really happy
with my section. Angie's turned out w ell. . .
she . . . met a lot of interesting people to go out
and get her interviews done and I think Pat had
a couple pretty interesting interviews, too We
want to thank all the people who came to
Room 405 to give us those interviews . . .
This was the best year I've had in journalism
and I'm really proud to say that I did work on
this yearbook and proud to say that I worked
with Angie, Pat and Mrs. Rice."

Diffenderfer, our Walsworth Publishing sales represen­
tative, who as always is extremely patient, even more
patient this year while we experimented with submit­
ting the entire book on computer disk. New photos
were purchased from the Associated Press.
The students who worked on this book need to be
recognized. The Staff includes: Angie Jespersen,
people section and senior section editor; Suzanne Miller,
student life section editor; Patrick Egger, clubs section
editor; Chad Lorenz, sports section copy writer. A
yearbook wouldn't be much without photographers,
and Ralston High is fortunate to have a strong team of
photojournalists who carry cameras to hundreds of
meetings, concerts, plays, dances and special events all
year plus spend hours in the darkroom printing all the
photos contained in this book. 1992 Photo Staff: Janet

This disk-submitted volume of the Ram was created on
the Apple Macintosh LC using Aldus Pagemaker ver­
sion 4.02, MicroSoft Word version 5.0 and Aldus Free­
hand version 3.01. Palatino and Avant Garde were the
typefaces used throughout this book. Theme develop­
ment and section design was created by Angie Jespersen
and Suzanne Miller at the 1991 Nebraska High School
Press Association's Summer Journalism Camp at UNL
(that's the one they both "hated with a passion".)
